Normally when we talk about remote nodes, it’s IT speak. Well here’s a great site that can show you some geographically remote bitcoin nodes.
I had a look through for the most remote node in Australia (home country of ListedReserve). The node (which isn’t always on) appears to be hosted in Mimili, an Aboriginal community of 280 people. It’s roughly 2000km north west of Adelaide and about a 15 hour drive. It makes sense because despite the distance, the town is connected to Australia’s national broadband network.
